Brooksville woman dies after Monday morning crash

A 54-year-old Brooksville woman died on Monday, Jan. 22, after a one-car accident, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

At about 7:45 a.m., her Nissan Altima was traveling west on Wiscon Road. 

West of Mobley Road, for an unknown reason, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which departed the roadway, entered the north shoulder and struck a tree. 

The unrestrained driver suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
