BSO: 1 killed, 1 detained following domestic-related shooting in Tamarac

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday in Tamarac.

According to authorities, someone called 911 at about 6 p.m. to report a domestic disturbance in the 8900 block of Northwest 78th Street.

Authorities said deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded to the scene and found a man who had been shot.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Tamarac Fire Rescue.

Authorities said one person was detained for questioning and is cooperating with detectives.

No other details were immediately released.

BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
