BSO: Man arrested after shooting reported at Pompano Beach business

A 63-year-old man was arrested Monday after a shooting was reported at a business in Pompano Beach, the Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

According to BSO, the shooting was reported at 1:44 p.m. Monday at a business near 1 North Andrews Ave.

“When deputies arrived, witnesses on scene stated they heard a gunshot come from the bathroom of the business,” a BSO spokesperson said in an email to Local 10 News. “Deputies made contact with an adult male inside the restroom.”

According to authorities, a weapon was found in the bathroom and a suspect, identified as BWS, was taken into custody.

No injuries were reported.

Online jail records show S faces charges of discharging a firearm in public, grand theft, grand theft of a firearm, armed burglary and violating a domestic violence injunction.
