Camaro driver killed in Orange County after losing control, striking tree, troopers say

 43-year-old man was killed Monday morning after he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree, according to the Florida Highway patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened around 10 a.m. on Town Center Boulevard and Hunters Vista Boulevard.

A crash report shows that a Chevrolet Camaro was traveling west on Town Center Boulevard in the inside lane, east of Hunters Vista Boulevard.

Troopers said the driver, identified as a 43-year-old Orlando man, was traveling above the posted speed limit when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control. The vehicle then ran off of the roadway right and struck a tree before ejecting the driver.

According to the FHP, the man was taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation.
