Camper fire leaves people displaced in Miami-Dade: Fire rescue

A camper fire on Sunday night left people displaced in Miami-Dade, according to fire rescue officials.

The flames broke out at around 6:23 p.m. near Northeast Miami Place and Northeast 124th Terrace.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said more than 10 units responded to the fire, where they found “a camper in the backyard fully involved” in flames.

Firefighters worked quickly, using hose lines to extinguish the fire and protect nearby structures.

Fire rescue said the fire was put out and there were no reported injuries.

The Red Cross was requested to assist those displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
