Cape Coral house left in unlivable condition after fire sparks over garage

A Cape Coral home was left in uninhabitable condition after a fire broke out in the attic over the garage on Sunday.

According to the Cape Coral Fire Department, crews responded to a home on Northeast 20th Street. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames, which they said started in the attic above the garage before spreading.

The house was deemed unlivable, according to CCFD. No injuries were reported, and Red Cross assistance is not expected to be needed.
