From the front, everything looks normal at “4 You Attorney Referral Service,” but if you walk around the back, you see the building’s wall is gone.
A driver slammed into the back of the office, leaving behind a trail of destruction.
“I just got up and I came and I still was in disbelief, but until I pulled up here, I was like, I was in shock,” said Danielle Herrera, manager of “4 You Attorney Referral Service.”
A wild car chase early Sunday morning turned the “4 You Attorney Referral Office” into an accidental drive-thru.
Herrera is still wrapping her head around the chaos.
“You could have called Uber, you could have stayed at the casino and sobered up, because you’re putting everybody else’s lives in danger just for your silly mistake,” Herrera said.
Collier County deputies say RF was drunk and speeding over 100 mph after he left the Seminole casino. When a deputy spotted the speeding car, they turned on their lights and started a chase. The chase quickly came to an end when the driver smashed into the business on New Market Road West, leaving a massive hole and crushing everything inside.
“They’re only charging them $50,000 of property damage, which I know that the property damage is more than that,” Herrera said.
Collier County deputies are now looking into reports of looting inside the damaged building.
“It really angers me because at the end of the day, you shouldn’t steal. People work hard for what they what they got. Just because we don’t have a wall structure doesn’t give you the right to do something like that,” Herrera said.
Herrera said she’ll temporarily move operations to their Fort Myers office while repairs are underway.
