UPDATE:
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Highway 79 is now back open. Some FHP and other units are remaining on scene.
Traffic is blocked at the intersection of Phillip Griffitts Parkway and Highway 79.
According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, delays could extend until as late as 8PM this evening. Both North and South bound lanes of Highway 79 are currently blocked.
