Deputies investigated a car crash on Ray Avenue South in Lehigh Acres, where a white sedan was found flipped over, and shattered glass from a car window was visible.
Upon arrival at the scene on 30th Street Southwest and Ray Avenue South, a white sedan was seen overturned, while a black sedan with significant front bumper damage had its hazard lights on. Deputies searched the white car before both vehicles were towed away.
A neighbor reported that during a family gathering, his cousin got into the white car with a friend. The driver allegedly sped out of the driveway, ran a stop sign, and collided with the black sedan. The neighbor said his cousin was taken to the hospital, and the driver was detained by deputies.
Authorities are investigating the crash to determine how it happened, if there are any injuries, and whether any charges will be filed.
