Car crashes and catches on fire before taking out traffic lights in North Fort Myers

A car burst into flames after a crash along Pine Island Road in North Fort Myers Tuesday morning.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the single-car incident happened around 4:30 a.m.

The traffic lights at the intersection of Pine Island Road And N Cleveland Avenue went out during the crash. The lights have since been repaired.

Some injuries were reported.
