An early Friday morning crash caused a car to flip over and a major roadway to close briefly in Fort Myers.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a car crash around 12:13 a.m. near San Carlos Park in Lee County.
A Gulf Coast News reporter on the scene said three vehicles appeared to be involved in the crash, including a car that had to be flipped back over by a tow truck and a truck that was destroyed.
The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed there were injuries in the crash.
The scene has since been cleared, and the road has reopened. FHP said the crash remains under investigation.
