Car struck by Tri-Rail train in West Palm Beach

 A vehicle was hit by a Tri-Rail train on Monday, according to the West Palm Beach Fire Department.

The crash occurred at 7:46 p.m. near Forest Hill Boulevard in West Palm Beach. The fire department’s investigation revealed that the car was stopped on the train tracks just west of I-95 when it was struck.

Investigators say the gate arms were down at the time of the impact.

Viewer video shows traffic at a standstill as a huge law enforcement presence surrounds the train tracks.

Video also shows an ambulance at the scene.

At this time traffic homicide investigators are at the scene. The condition of the driver is not yet known.
