Casselberry woman, 56, killed in head-on crash in Seminole County

A 56-year-old Casselberry woman was killed in a head-on crash Thursday evening in Seminole County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal two-vehicle wreck happened around 6 p.m. on North Street near Fairview Avenue, east of I-4.

The FHP said the woman was driving a 2011 Toyota Scion east on North Street and veered into the westbound lane for an unknown reason.

The woman’s car struck the front a 2023 Ford Mustang driven by a 51-year-old Altamonte Springs man, the FHP said.

The woman, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital and was pronounced dead, according to an FHP crash report.

Troopers said the man suffered minor injuries.
