Photo by: U.S. Coast Guard Southeast

The U.S. Coast Guard rescued 33-foot charter vessel 28 miles southwest of Sanibel Island Saturday night.

According to USCG Southeast, the charter vessel was taking on water with eight people onboard.

Bilge pumps gradually dewatered it as it was transported to Pirate Harbor.

All occupants were rescued through joint efforts between a USCG Station Fort Myers Beach boat crew and a good Samaritan. No injuries were reported.
