A 68-year-old Cocoa man was struck and killed late Tuesday along State Road 520 in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 11:50 p.m. near Clearlake Road.
According to a crash report, a 2006 Chevrolet Express was heading west on SR-520 when it began to travel south and entered the path of the man, who was walking on the north shoulder.
Troopers said the front of the vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained on-scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
