Collier County deputies said an attempt to pull over a driver for excessive speeding ended in a crash at a Burger King along Golden Gate Parkway.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to stop the driver accused of speeding near Wilson Boulevard and Immokalee Road.
CCSO said the car involved in the pursuit crashed into another vehicle at the Burger King located at 5055 Golden Gate Pkwy.
The driver was taken into custody. Gulf Coast News has reached out to CCSO for more information on the driver and the charges they may be facing.
At least one person suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital for further examination, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies told a Gulf Coast News crew at the scene that a pregnant woman was injured in the crash.
