Collier County firefighters battle electrical fire in Quail West development

Firefighters with the North Collier Fire Rescue District responded to a residential structure fire in the Quail West development Tuesday evening.

According to their post on Facebook, initial reports had the fire in a garage housing two vehicles. Crews started extinguishing the flames from a partial opening in the garage door. Another team made an entry and made sure that the fire was solely contained to the garage.

The rest of the home only suffered smoke damage. The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical.
