A man has been seriously injured after falling off the Scotts Ferry Bridge in Calhoun County.
The accident occurred Tuesday morning around 9:00 am.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, the man was part of a construction crew that was making repairs to the bridge, following a traffic crash from a few weeks ago.
Authorities say when they were moving a barrier, it came into contact with the victim who then lost his footing and fell off the bridge and onto the ground. He suffered critical injuries and had to be life-flighted to Tallahassee.
The sheriff’s office says they believe the victim is expected to recover from this accident.
