Construction worker hospitalized after being struck by dump truck in Dania Beach

A worker was rushed to the hospital on Monday after he was struck and run over by a dump truck in Dania Beach, fire rescue said.

According to Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, crews arrived at a construction site at 309 SE 5th Street after receiving reports of a major accident.

Once at the scene, crews found the man who was struck.

He suffered several injuries, including trauma to his pelvis, and he was taken to Broward Health Fort Lauderdale for emergency treatment.

His identity was not released.
