A crash was causing heavy delays on the Florida’s Turnpike and left at least one person hospitalized Thursday evening, officials said.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes of the Turnpike near Northwest 57th Avenue.
Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed crews working to clean debris off the roadway as just one lane of traffic was open.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said one adult patient was airlifted to a local hospital from the scene.
No other details were immediately known.
