Crash causing delays on Busch Boulevard in Tampa

A crash along East Busch Boulevard in Tampa is causing delays to Wednesday morning’s commute.

Sky 10 flew over the scene and captured two sedans with severe front-end damage near the railroad tracks next to a self-storage facility. One car sat sideways in the middle lane with debris scattered in the right lane. Only the left lane was open to allow traffic through.

The other car had gone over the storage facility’s fencing, with the front bumper facing the ground and the back of the car pointing up into the air. A section of the fence was knocked down. Water was also seen erupting from the ground next to where the car went over the fence. It’s not clear what kind of water system was damaged and whether there is a greater impact.

Video from Sky 10 also shows a person being taken away from a car on a stretcher.

10 Tampa Bay has reached out to the Tampa Police Department for more information.
