Crash in Clay County kills Keystone Heights man, seriously injures 4 others

A Keystone Heights man is dead and four other people are seriously hurt after a crash in Clay County early Thursday morning.

According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, a 35-year-old man was driving a sedan northbound on Sunrise Boulevard approaching the intersection with State Road 100 in Keystone Heights at around midnight.

A 58-year-old man was driving an SUV eastbound on State Road 100, approaching the same intersection. The driver of the sedan failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the SUV.

FHP troopers say the driver of the SUV died at the scene, and the driver of the sedan and three passengers suffered serious injuries.
