Crash in Silver Springs kills a motorcyclist.

SILVER SPRINGS, Fla. (WCJB) – A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a public works van in Silver Springs Wednesday.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the 44-year-old man was traveling on County Road 314 near the intersection of State Road 40 around 2:15 p.m.

They say he was unable to make a turn and swerved off the road and crashed into a Marion County public works van.

Roads in the area were closed off for a few hours after the crash.

No injuries were reported for anyone inside the van.
