Crash in West Palm Beach leaves one dead, another in critical condition

A crash in West Palm Beach on Saturday night left a pedestrian dead and a motorcyclist fighting for their life.

The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) stated on Saturday at around 9:35 p.m. that a crash had closed southbound Australian Avenue from Banyan Boulevard to Okeechobee Boulevard.

Officials continued to state that the crash involved a motorcyclist and someone attempting to cross the street.

According to WPBPD, the pedestrian died on the scene, and the motorcyclist was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition.

As of 1:25 a.m. on Sunday, officials said they had ended their on-scene investigation, and the roads had been reopened.

No further details have been made available at this time.
