Police are responding to a traffic crash at a major intersection in Boynton Beach that is causing significant traffic disruptions.
According to the Boynton Beach Police Department, officers are currently on scene at the intersection of West Gateway Boulevard and North Congress Avenue following a crash on Friday. According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s traffic crash website, the crash appeared to involve a patrol car.
Traffic is limited in all directions around the intersection as first responders work at the scene. Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes while the roadway remains partially blocked.
Authorities have not yet released details about possible injuries or what led to the crash.
Police say they will provide updates once the roadway is fully reopened.
