Crash with injuries blocks part of I-295 North in Jacksonville

A crash with injuries caused traffic problems Tuesday morning on Interstate 295 North in Jacksonville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened near mile marker 28, before New Kings Road. FHP reported that emergency vehicles initially blocked all northbound lanes.

The Florida Department of Transportation later reported the crash as a major incident, with the right lane blocked. The crash was reported around 4:51 a.m.

Drivers should use caution in the area and expect delays while emergency crews work at the scene. Information about the number of vehicles involved and the extent of any injuries was not immediately available.
