Drivers are being asked to avoid a portion of U.S. 441 near Mount Dora following a two-car crash.
The wreck has the northbound lanes of U.S. 441 closed near the intersection with Eudora Road, according to Eustis police. According to police, the crash involved a “serious two-car accident.”
Officers expect those lanes to remain closed for at least an hour, according to a Facebook post shortly before 5 p.m.
Mount Dora police announced around 6 p.m. that the highway would be shut down from Morningside Drive to State Road 19 for a few hours longer.
Shortly after 9 p.m., police reported a second crash near the original crash along U.S. 441, this time near County Road 19A and Azalea Drive.
In a release, police said that the crash involved a motorcycle and a vehicle. Drivers are asked to stay away from the area.
First responders have not said what caused the crashes or whether anyone was hurt.
