Crews battle car engulfed in flames in San Carlos Park

The San Carlos Park Fire District responded to a vehicle fire on Unique Circle in San Carlos Park on Sunday.

Crews said when they arrived on the scene, they found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames with the fire threatening a nearby RV.

SCPFD firefighters extinguished the fire while a crew from Estero Fire Rescue cleared the inside of the camper. No one was reported to be inside.

The RV suffered heat and smoke damage.

Florida Power and Light and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were also on the scene.

Fire crews said the cause of the fire was accidental.
