A fire broke out at a carport of a home near Lancelot Lane and El Dorado Parkway West on Thursday afternoon.
Cape Coral Fire Department crews responded to the scene at approximately 2 p.m.
According to CCFD, firefighters observed heavy smoke emanating from the home’s carport and extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading further and mitigating additional damage.
Fire officials said there were no reported injuries; however, there was extensive smoke damage throughout the residence.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
