Crews with the Pine-Island/Matlacha Fire Control District battled a residential structure fire on Rat Road in Bokeelia Sunday evening. No one was injured.

Crews say that when they arrived, the home was completely involved in flames, and that it was burnt to the ground.

While there were no injuries, they add, a firefighter was transported to the hospital as a precaution. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
