Crews battling massive blaze at Orange County plant nursery

Orange County Fire Rescue crews are working to put out a massive blaze that broke out in a plant nursery on Monday morning.

Crews responded to the structure fire, located off South Apopka Vineland Road and the Florida Turnpike, just before 7 a.m.

Chopper 2 caught flames covering the top of the building and thick black smoke lingering in the area.

According to OCFR, crews are actively trying to put out the fire, which they said consisted of “heavy flames” upon arrival. Officials are working on protecting multiple buildings in the area, they said.

Crews are still working to find out what started the blaze. It is unknown if there were any injuries at this time.

This is a developing story.
