Crews rescue trapped driver after box truck overturns on I-75 in Marion County

A driver was taken to a hospital after a box truck rolled over Tuesday afternoon on a southbound I-75 off-ramp in Marion County.

Marion County Fire Rescue crews responded around 1:33 p.m. to the crash at Exit 358.

When firefighters arrived at 1:39 p.m., they found a commercial box truck on its side, blocking the ramp. The driver was partially trapped inside the vehicle and needed assistance getting out.

Crews transported the driver to a local hospital for further evaluation. Officials did not immediately release details on the driver’s injuries.

The FHP responded to assist with traffic control and investigate the crash.
