Bonita Springs firefighters put out a house fire that started in the kitchen early Thursday morning.
According to the fire chief on the scene, crews responded to a house fire call on Rue Viauv Avenue in Bonita Springs around 12:40 a.m.
A Gulf Coast News reporter on the scene spoke to the fire chief, who said that the fire started in the kitchen and then spread to the bathroom and bedroom.
The rest of the house was untouched by flames. One animal died, but fire crews were able to save another.
The scene is now clear.
