Fort Myers fire crews battled a fire that sparked in an apartment at a complex along Central Avenue.
According to the Fort Myers Fire Department, the fire was in a third-floor unit at Waterford Apartments, and crews were able to extinguish it, ensuring the fire didn’t rapidly spread.
One person was being evaluated by Lee County EMS, and a fire investigator is working to determine the cause of the blaze, officials said.
FMFD said it will provide updates when a cause is determined.
