An employee who works at a Marion County day care is in jail, charged with three counts of child abuse, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
LF, 31, was arrested Monday following an investigation into the alleged abuse at the day care facility.
Bright Beginnings Learning Center, located at 14950 U.S. Highway 441 in Summerfield, was under investigation after the Department of Children and Families was notified of a child who was injured on Feb. 13.
After reviewing the daycare’s surveillance footage, F can be seen forcefully picking up a child and throwing them onto the ground.
Detectives also observed two other incidents involving two different children. F struck one child on the back of the head and kicked another child, causing them to fall face-first onto the ground.
Fl was also captured on video placing her foot on a child, who was lying on the floor during nap time. She slapped another child across the face, MCSO said.
F was transported to the Marion County jail. She bonded out at 10:17 p.m.
