Emergency crews responded to a deadly crash on U.S. Highway 301 in Alachua County.
Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say one person was killed in the crash on the highway near Southeast Hawthorne Road.
Single lanes are blocked in both directions on the highway as of this report. Deputies ask drivers to avoid the area.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
