A crash after 10 p.m., reportedly involving a pedestrian on the Howard Frankland Bridge, has left one person dead.
The deadly incident happened Monday night, close to Mile Marker 34 along the bridge, prompting the response of emergency crews to the area, according to Pinellas County officials.
The deadly crash is blocking traffic along the westbound lanes coming into Pinellas County. One lane of traffic is getting by on the shoulder of the roadway.
Pinellas County Fire Rescue crews responded to the accident as reports indicate that more than one vehicle was involved.
The Florida Highway Patrol will be in charge of investigating the fatal accident.
