According to Florida 511, the crash is affecting the southbound lanes of the turnpike from before mile marker 125 at Bridge Road to before mile marker 117 at Indiantown Road. The right lane is blocked as emergency crews respond to the scene.
The incident was first reported at 9:40 a.m. and remained active as of the latest Florida 511 update at 10:33 a.m. Traffic officials classified the crash as a major incident.
Traffic delays have extended into Martin County, with congestion backing up near the Bridge Road exit at mile marker 125.
