Delray Beach Woman Arrested for Throwing Chicken at Son, Stabbing Him

A Delray Beach woman, Michelle Butler, found herself in police custody following a violent encounter that involved her throwing chicken at her son, according to officers.

The incident prompted a disturbance call, and officers responded to an apartment complex off Citation Dr. last Thursday night.

The victim, Butler’s son, reported to the police that his mother had thrown raw chicken at him.

The situation escalated as Butler, 69, allegedly lunged at him with a pair of scissors, resulting in a cut on his shin that caused significant bleeding.

The victim informed the police that his mother suffers from mental illness and had been drinking during the incident.

In response to the violent actions, Butler was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and subsequently booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.

After posting a $10,000 bond, Butler was released from jail.
