Deputies: 3 arrested in shooting at Volusia County Park.

Volusia County deputies said they’ve made three arrests after shots were fired at a park in Deltona.

The shooting happened at Wes Crile Park on Tuesday around 5:30 p.m. No one was injured.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses told deputies they heard gunshots and saw three people who were involved.

Deputies said one suspect, 24-year-old Ethan Fontaine, went to the park to meet two teens, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, for a “drug transaction.”

The teens took out guns and robbed Fontaine, according to Volusia County deputies.

The sheriff’s office said Fontaine eventually left but later returned with a rifle and pointed it in the teens’ direction, and the teens then pulled out their guns before firing shots toward Fontaine.

The 16-year-old and 17-year-old, who WESH 2 is not naming due to their age, were arrested Tuesday on the charges of shooting at a public building. The 17-year-old faces additional charges of possession of a firearm by a juvenile and carrying a concealed weapon.
