Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a battery at a SCAT Terminal on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Upon arrival, deputies met with Angela Greenway who claimed while on the property, a man started to record her without her permission while she was speaking with the friend.
Greenway allegedly told the man to stop recording her and then she says he began to approach her with his cell phone, still filming her.
She claims he then grabbed her shirt, exposing her breast. Deputies reported that the woman’s shirt showed no signs of tampering, nor did she have any injuries.
Greenway told deputies when the man exposed her, she grabbed his phone and tossed it into the street.
Deputies noted on the police report that Greenway did show signs of impairment at the time, and could sell an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath.
The victim told deputies he was at the SCAT bus stop in an attempt to film interviews for his YouTube channel. He admitted to giving out alcohol and cigarettes on the property in attempts to get interviews.
The victim said he was interviewing a man when Greenway began shouting at him to stop recording her. The victim stated that he was never recording her and this is when the woman began to approach him.
As the victim tried to back away from the woman, she grabbed his phone from his wheelchair and threw it to the ground. Greenway reportedly continued to attack the victim. At this point, the victim grabbed the woman’s shirt out of self-defense.
Video shows Greenway approaching the victim while he was trying to back away. It also shows her throw the cellphone to the ground.
Witnesses confirm the victim’s story, according to the report.
Greenway is being charged with Abuse of Elderly or Disabled Persons and Damage Property/Criminal Mischief $1,000 or more.
