Deputies in Miami-Dade County confirmed the woman killed in the fatal hit-and-run was Stefhany Reconco-Rosales.
It happened around 5:30 a.m. Sunday on northwest 32nd Avenue, right outside 809 Miami Lounge in northwest Miami-Dade.
Police cars and crime scene tape could be seen blocking off the road after the sun came up, and on the ground, there was a water bottle and broken glass, with evidence markers surrounding the area as investigators took pictures.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, responding deputies found a woman who had been struck.
She was rushed to the hospital, but despite lifesaving efforts, she has since passed away, officials said.
The driver responsible for the crash took off and did not stay at the scene, deputies said.
Authorities describe the suspect vehicle as a 2014-2020, four door, white Cadillac Escalade with possible front-end damage.
Neighbors who did not want to be identified said the area is often chaotic at night, with large crowds coming to the 809 Miami Lounge to party.
Traffic homicide detectives are now handling the investigation.
