Details released on crash that killed 2 people in western Palm Beach County

On Sunday, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office released the names of two people who died in a two-car collision on Friday.

The sheriff’s office said Roben Desarmes, 52, and Yulissa Medrano Perez, 40, were passengers who died.

According to the report, a Toyota Corolla violated the right of way of a Toyota Rav 4 that caused the collision at the intersection of South State Road 7 and Armone Place (East)/ Osprey Pond Lane (West).

Desarmes and Perez were two of five passengers in the Corolla. According to the report, they were ejected from the Corolla as the car rolled over after the collision.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

Three other people in the Corolla sustained minor injuries, while a passenger in the Rav 4 sustained minor injuries.
