A dog was killed in a fire on Barbie Lane in North Fort Myers Sunday morning.
The property owner, Jaime Cruz, told Gulf Coast News that he rents the trailer out to a man.
He said that he was driving on Barbie Lane this morning and saw his trailer burnt to ashes. He said he was never told by the renter about the fire.
According to the North Fort Myers Fire Control District, the dog died after a fire broke out at an unoccupied dwelling. The fire happened in Suncoast Estates.
The fire is under investigation, the fire district said.
