Dog the Bounty Hunter’s step-grandson was killed by his father in an accidental shooting, according to a report.
TMZ, citing sources with direct knowledge of the incident, reported that D “Dog” C’s step-son, GZ, allegedly shot and killed his son, 13-year-old AZ, at an apartment in Naples, Florida on Saturday.
Authorities told the outlet that no arrests have been made, and described the shooting as an “isolated incident.”
An investigation into the shooting remains ongoing, TMZ reported.
The family told TMZ through a representative that they are “grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident,” and asked for “continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, A.” The family has asked for privacy at this time.
According to PEOPLE, GZ is FC’s son from her previous marriage. D C, 72, and his wife, FC, married in 2021 after bonding while mourning the loss of their spouses.
D C’s fifth wife, BC, died at the age of 51 in 2019. He is the father to 13 children, and revealed in 2023 that he recently learned he had fathered a son named “Jon.”
