A crash and a fist fight in Sanford led to a separate crash in downtown Orlando just hours later on Thursday, according to law enforcement.

In a release, Sanford police said they originally responded to a call regarding a crash involving two vehicles.

But as officers headed to the scene, the witness told the dispatcher that the people involved in the crash were physically fighting, police added.

“Based on the investigation, it appears that the suspect intentionally ran into the back of the victim’s vehicle,” the release reads. “Then, during the altercation, the suspect removed items from the victim’s vehicle.”

The suspect then fled the scene in a Red Kia, which apparently later made its way to downtown Orlando.

The Kia was spotted running into an Amazon delivery truck and other vehicles outside the Camden Orange Court apartments along Orange Avenue.

Orange County deputies said they had spotted the Kia and pulled it over, but as the driver was surrendering, a passenger hopped in the driver’s seat, took off, and crashed into the other vehicles.
