Drinking leads to arrest of woman who allegedly punched man friend

Drinking led to the arrest of a woman who allegedly punched her man friend.

RLC, 69, of Lady Lake, is facing a charge of battery following her arrest this past week by Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived at C’s home, they found a man who had “blood surrounding his mouth,” according to the arrest report. He said he had been punched in the mouth “five times” and identified C as his attacker. He claimed C had struck him in past and he “had enough of her hitting him.”

C admitted she and the man had been drinking alcohol. She claimed the man was “nasty” and had been calling her names, however, she denied striking him.

She was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. She was released after posting $100.
