Driver dies after being ejected from vehicle during Pasco County collision

A driver is dead after he was ejected from his vehicle following a crash in Pasco County on Friday night.

At 7:05 p.m., the Florida Highway Patrol said a 68-year-old Tennessee man in a Kia Sorento was traveling westbound on Regency Park Boulevard in Port Richey. At the same time, a 55-year-old Hudson man in a Hummer H2 was heading northbound on US-19.

At the intersection of the two roadways, the driver of the Kia made a right turn onto US-19 into the path of the Hummer.

The Kia slammed into the Hummer, causing the Hummer to rotate off the highway and flip.

According to FHP, the Hudson man in the Hummer was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Kia was not injured during the collision.
