A driver was extricated from his vehicle on Tuesday by Marion County Fire Rescue.
The accident involved a single vehicle near the intersection of SE 95th Street and SE 25th Avenue in Ocala.
A 911 caller reported the driver of a pickup truck had been entrapped inside his vehicle between several trees.
According to MCFR, first responders arrived on scene at 1:36 p.m. to find the driver stuck inside the wreckage. Additional crews were dispatched and arrived moments later.
Paramedics worked to stabilize the patient while firefighters began extrication operations. Crews were able to get the driver out of the vehicle at approximately 1:53 p.m.
The victim was transported as a trauma alert by MCFR’s Critical Care Transport truck. The driver’s condition is uncertain at this time.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
