Driver hospitalized after SUV crashes into gas pump at Sam’s Club

A driver pumping gas was taken to the hospital after an SUV collided with a parked vehicle at a Sam’s Club on College Road just before 4 p.m. Thursday.

One person was pinned while filling up their tank. They were taken to the hospital as a trauma alert patient.

A fuel pump was knocked out of the ground and landed on top of a van.

Two other people suffered minor injuries.

Officials said the fueling station is temporarily closed until repairs can be made.
